🪵 How Custom Commissions Work
Every piece is handcrafted to order. Here's exactly what to expect from start to finish:
Step 1 — Place Your Order
Choose your size, fill in the jersey details (team, player, number, colours), and complete checkout. Your spot in the queue is secured as soon as payment is received.
Step 2 — Design Confirmation Email
Within 1–2 business days I'll email you to confirm every detail of your commission — team colours, name, number, and any special requests. This is your chance to make sure everything is exactly right before I start cutting.
Step 3 — Digital Proof & Approval
Once the design is locked in, I'll send you a digital proof for your sign-off. No wood gets touched until you're happy with the layout. You can request adjustments at this stage at no extra charge.
Step 4 — Handcrafting
After approval, I get to work. Each piece is hand-cut, inlaid, and painted in my studio using 100% real wood — no prints, no shortcuts. This is where the magic happens.
Step 5 — Shipping (~3 Weeks from Order)
Commissions currently ship approximately 3 weeks from the order date. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your piece is on its way. US orders ship duty-paid — no surprise fees at the door.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make changes after I've approved the proof?
Once you've signed off on the proof and production has begun, changes aren't possible. That's why the approval step exists — take your time reviewing it! If you catch something before approving, just reply to my email and I'll revise it.
What's the refund policy on custom orders?
Because every commission is made specifically for you, I'm unable to offer refunds once production has started. If your piece arrives damaged, send me a photo within 48 hours and I'll make it right.
What sizes are available?
Commissions are available in multiple sizes — select your preferred size from the options above before adding to cart. Not sure which size suits your wall? Feel free to reach out before ordering.
What are the pieces made from?
Every piece is crafted from 100% real inlaid wood — individual pieces of wood are cut, fitted, and painted by hand. There are no decals, no prints, and no shortcuts. Each one is a genuine piece of handmade art.
Do you ship to the US? Are there duties or customs fees?
Yes! I ship to the US regularly. All US orders are shipped duty-paid, meaning I cover the import fees on my end. You won't be hit with any surprise charges when your package arrives.
What if I'm not happy with the proof?
No problem at all — just let me know what you'd like changed and I'll revise it. I want you to love the final piece, so I'll work with you until the design is exactly right before starting production.
Each Wood Jersey is the result of a precise intersection between digital design and manual craftsmanship. We don’t use printing of any kind; instead, every element you see is a physical inlay, meticulously cut and assembled to create a layered, three-dimensional effect.
The process begins with high-quality, custom-made maple veneer sheets. Using precision laser technology, we cut the jersey into dozens of intricate components—some designs requiring as many as 40 individual pieces. Each of these elements is then painted and inlaid by hand, mounting them onto a premium MDF backing to ensure structural integrity and a high-end finish.
Developing a custom jersey is a design-heavy undertaking. We spend hours mapping out the logo to determine which elements should be raised to provide the best 3D detail. We ship across Canada and the United States. Once your custom jersey is finished and ready for the road, standard shipping typically takes 3–8 business days. Keep an eye out at checkout for any available shipping discounts.
Every jersey is packed using custom protective foam inserts to ensure a safe delivery to your door. For international orders, please be aware that any import duties, taxes, or tariffs are the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking with your local customs office if you have questions regarding potential fees.
